Cerissa A. Brown is a dedicated advocate for mental health, with over 21 years of experience in outreach, community organizing, and case management. In 2021, Cerissa also ran for Mayor of Birmingham, Alabama, and mental health was a central focus of her campaign platform. As the host of The Real Cerissa Brown Podcast, Brown shares her experiences and insights on these important issues and works to raise awareness and inspire change. In addition to hosting the podcast, Brown is a volunteer host for Black Mental Health Matters and the founder and community organizer for the MLK Day Of Service Feminine Hygiene Drive, which provides feminine hygiene products to those in need. With a strong commitment to advocating for mental health and helping underserved communities, Brown is dedicated to making a positive impact in her community.
