A 1965 film shows Americans living in mountain hollows, at the end of rutted dirt roads, and in bypassed communities as they tell about their problems, deprivations, and hopes. The irony of this presentation is that many people in rural and urban areas still face poverty. What happened in the past has not been addressed in depth today.
