Description

The four primary aspects of Air Defence are Search, Identification, Interception and Destruction. Each one of these functions is dependent on the Radar Systems of the Indian Air Force. The IAF employs a variety of Radar systems that are networked and communicate in near real-time to ensure air defence of the country.

These systems, though superior to Pakistan, lag behind the Chinese systems. The impending intake of the Russian S 400 Air Defence System would rewrite the equations majorly.
