Submarines, the most lethal and complex platforms in warfare are a unique arm of the Armed Forces to serve in. Remaining away from the public gaze, these silent and invisible killers are the most dreaded weapon any enemy could ever think of in today's and in future warfare. The power they pack in themselves is unmatched and detecting them is a herculean task should there be a need to do so.
These platforms are also packed with so much machinery and ammunition explosives that life on board is full of risks.
In this podcast, Capt DK Sharma (Retd.) takes us through the paces with a veteran submariner Commodore SR Kapoor VSM where he explains about what it takes to be a submariner and how they manage the omnipresent risks in those constricted spaces.
