Darcy is a mom, professional ultra runner, and psychologist who lives and trains in Boulder, Colorado. She has been running for over 19 years and racing ultras for most of that time. Of the over 100 races she has run, Darcy has finished most of them in the top three.
In this podcast, Darcy talks about her journey into ultra running and the things she does now to balance her love of this extreme sport. She describes why she chose to be a vegetarian and how she manages training without giving up on eating and drinking. We talk about the role of meditation in her life, and how both running and meditation have helped reduce her anxiety. She also talks about being a psychologist in the Boulder Valley Public School system and how that has enriched her life while helping many students navigate theirs.
