PGR contributor Peyton Williams caught up with Greenbrier Panthers' head coach Randy Tribble to discuss Greenbrier's victory over Clarksville last night on Homecoming. Greenbrier came out in dominant fashion as they went into the halftime locker room up 42-7, ultimately winning by a final score of 49-21.
In what was a “Battle of the Panthers,” Greenbrier found themselves up big due to a very, very efficient night. The Panthers of Greenbrier scored six offensive touchdowns on six offensive possessions and then added a defensive touchdown to the scoreline. The big performance allowed some younger guys to get some experience and Coach Tribble discussed the importance of avoiding injuries while praising the overall team effort he saw with getting some valuable for reps for the second and third team.
The Panthers picked up a much needed win. Last night was Greenbrier's first victory since their season-opener back on August 28th. They now sit at 2-3 on the season and will look to remain on the winning trail as they welcome the Goblins of Harrison High School to town next Friday night.
