PGR contributor Peyton Williams caught up with Mountain Groves' head football coach Brandon Rogers following the Panthers' impressive 67-8 victory over the Cardinals of Clinton High School in the first round of the Missouri state high school football playoffs.
The Panthers found themselves up 28-0 in the first quarter and went into the halftime break with a 61-0 lead. The win means they will have to travel to Ava High School and face the Bears for the second time this season. Ava won the first meeting between the two teams by a final score of 14-0. Mountain Grove have now won two of the last three games they have played and hope to continue to ride that wave of momentum further into the postseason.
