PGR contributor Peyton Williams caught up with Mountain Grove's head football coach Brandon Rogers to get his thoughts following the Panthers' tough defeat at the hands of the Salem Tigers this past Friday. The Panthers were defeated in a close, one-possession ball game by a final score of 21-14.
The defeat means that Mountain Grove have dropped their last three contests since their last victory, a twenty-point shutout over Willow Springs. With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Panthers currently sit at 2-6 on the season before they get back to action next week.
Mountain Grove will remain home next week as they welcome the Tigers of Houston High School to town. The Panthers will be in search of their first victory in the month of October as they hope to right the ship before the postseason begins.
