On this episode of The Local Woman, Sierra and Jade chat with Freelance Artist, Jessica Carr. Jessica Carr is a Macon-born freelance artist who now resides in Decatur, GA. Her art is influenced by her love of fantasy and folklore. Growing up she always illustrated herself and those around her in whimsical environments and shape-shifting into supernatural beings, which continues in her art today.
Her skills range from sewing to make-up artistry, with a primary focus on fine arts. She worked as an assistant seamstress at Time Traveler Outfitters Costume Design. She received her Makeup Mastery Certificate from Joe Blasco School of Makeup Artistry located in Los Angeles, CA. Some of her Makeup work can be seen in African Americana's Halloween in July EP music video. Currently, she is focusing on personal projects that you can follow on her Instagram, @jessic_art_denae.
