Hip Hop culture influences students today in a major way. From the music to the fashion to the art, young people today consume mass quantities of Hip Hop on a daily basis. This is a high school elective course at Hillside High School in Hillside, NJ. This course is research/project-based and will incorporate multiple forms of literature, technology, and multi-media.
During This Course: we will examine issues prevalent in the culture of Hip Hop from it's inception to contemporary times. We will discuss many aspects of the culture and address some important issues while we view/listen to related media by way of whole-group and individual research.
