Originally from El Paso, Texas, Dr. Montes completed most of her schooling and training in Texas! In this interview she shares her experience entering the match system for Texas medical schools, her switch from nursing to pre-medical tract in undergrad, how she met her husband (who is also physician!), and how she manages every day life as an OBGYN with 3 boys! Dr. Montes highlights the need for Latinx physicians and how important it is for us, as current and future medical professionals, to foster community!
