The series of black woman for this month continues with a phenomenal television anchor by way of Indianapolis, IN. She's a proud wife, aunt, & woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and she is Alia Blackburn. But wait, she's actually Alia Edwards now because she married the love of her life, Aaron Edwards. Don't worry, I make sure you figure out how to address her by the end of the episode. But, I know her from my college years and I wanted to have a great discussion behind how she started in news, how she was able to land her first professional job after Ball State, finding love, and what her marriage looks like in real time. And, of course, we had to talk Juneteenth! This episode is full of wisdom from one of the most incredible black women I have ever had the privilege of knowing. The title isn't just the degree we both received from Ball State, it's how she's making it happen every single day!
