Description

From 1896 to 1952, African-Americans were forced to abide by a “separate but equal” doctrine that was established by the Supreme Court case Plessy v. Ferguson. They faced inequality through this ruling for over 50 years and were ready for a change. Brown v. Board of Education was the landmark Supreme Court case that sparked the start of the Civil Rights Movement to gain equality for African-Americans. Let’s learn about Brown v. Board of Education.
