On February 1, 1947, four days before the full moon Joseph Curry was out for a Saturday afternoon walk beside the Ten Mile River near his home in Pawtucket, when, along a path known to locals as “Lover’s Lane,” he saw what looked like a strange gray boulder among the bushes.
But when Joseph strolled over to investigate, he didn’t find a boulder; instead he found the blood-soaked body of Rita Bouchard, a 17-year-old mill worker from North Providence.
On today's episode, I'll tell you what happened to Rita and about the bizarre confession from her friend.
