These verses introduce Nebuchadnezzar's dream of the statue. The king's wise men fail to discern the dream and its meaning for Nebuchadnezzar. As a result the king orders the execution of all the wise men. Daniel asks for time. He, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah pray for help and God comes through. God uses human failure to create opportunities to speak through His people. What is He trying to say to or through you? Do you have courage in the Spirit to confront a culture in chaos?
