How can I lead well? It starts with humility. Why should I listen to those in authority? Christ commands it. In this sermon, Pastor/Professor Andrew Marquez looks at 1 Peter 5:1-5. In these verses, Peter urges those in charge of others to be lowly leaders. In humility, we will lead those under our care with the right motives, anticipating the return of our Chief Leader, Jesus Christ. Jesus remains the ultimate example of humility. Peter also tells the youth and the church at large to follow their leaders. Youth must yield despite their desire for independence. Every Christian needs to honor other believers and seek reverent relationships in Christ's body. With an attitude of humility, we open ourselves up to received God's grace.
