Description

Jesus delivered a demon-possessed man who has been oppressed for a long time (v.27). After his deliverance, he went back to his town, restored back to his hometown and became a herald of the Gospel. Oppression comes in many ways. It may be religious, social, economic or political. Jesus dominated and defeated them the work of the demon; proclaiming that He is the Lord of all creation, whether the physical world or the spiritual world. Jesus is able miraculously deliver us from our oppressors and restore us back to our identity and introduce new ways of living for Him. Our identity belongs to Him.
