Three pictures of how to be great in a cross-shaped Kingdom
Serving Jesus' children (9:33-50)
Children = weak, helpless, needy
His followers must learn to serve others rather than compete
His followers must beware of stumbling other children
Sin = stumble
Receiving like a child (10:1-16)
Pharisees contrast the children by testing Jesus and not receiving the kingdom
So they lower the bar in order to help themselves "get in"
The path in - being served like a child by Jesus (10:17-31)
No one is good even the Rich Young man.
So entering the Kingdom is impossible with man... but not with God
Yet still requires on losing his life now (10:28-31)
