How often we stress large numbers, popularity, influence and visible success when we talk about Christian work. We need to stress instead that God's ways often seem perverse to the world e.g the cross 1 Cor 1:18-25. 'Sowing the word' won't seem spectacular, will not produce quick results and will repel those who do not like to hear it. But, in the long term, it's the only way to produce a great and enduring harvest. Mark Chapter 4 gives us great hope in spreading the gospel seed to everyone and in every place, because, there is massive harvest on the end. These parables by Jesus in Chapter 4 shows us that, there is a certain harvest despite of rejection, there is a certain harvest despite of delay and there is a certain harvest despite of an umimpresssi e start.
