Description

Our guest today is a woman that is rising up to the challenges in gender inequality.

Laura Sercombe has spent her career working for this cause at Girls Friendly Society.

G.F.S. is a feminist charity whose mission is to inspire and empower girls and young women. Established over 150 years ago by Mary Elizabeth Townsend, an Irish clergyman’s daughter, G.F.S. started in England and through the years started to go internationally. Laura knows that the challenges change periodically and according to each generation, that's the reason why the organization has to stay constantly updated to help the girls. During lockdown and isolation, G.F.S. developed a digital service to provide resources and tools, launching a service called the Big Dreamers Club.
