If you noticed, stories of people of color aren’t always found in the usual public records or data systems. Often, the stories are hidden or in the memory of one that witnessed the life and legacy. Many figures are packed away with family secrets in an attic. Again, some only exist in the minds and memories of our elders. Nevertheless, history is a fluid, living, energetic thing fed continuously by the stories of the people creating that history.
