We're in the final stretch of Book 1 as Jon and Jeff discuss Book 1, episode 18 - "The Waterbending Master!" Team Avatar has FINALLY made it to the Northern Water Tribe, and we see why they've been relatively unharmed by the Fire Nation after a century of war. We'd hardly call this a "tribe" - more like an impressive kingdom. But the majestic city and warm welcome doesn't last long when Aang and Katara realize his "chosen" Waterbending teacher - Master Pakku - is a sexist old curmudgeon who refuses to teach Katara because she's a female. Don't worry, she makes him regret that decision. Meanwhile, Admiral Zhao visits Iroh and Zuko and figures out Zuko's secret identity as the Blue Spirit - will this discovery make Zuko's plans to regain his honor blow up in his face? All this pales in comparison to the most important storyline of the episode - SOKKA FALLS IN LOVE WITH A PRINCESS. "Yukka" fans, your moment has finally arrived! Yip yip, everybody!
