Venting and moving on can be therapeutic. Getting that anger off the chest. Find some time to vent and talk about what's on your mind, take a walk with a friend. Had to vent this morning after two officers were shot by a dude that ran upon them while they were parked. This incident was not Black Lives Matter. It's not good versus evil. No side is a saint. We all want to be part of a system with social and economic justice for everyone; such a system can and will work better for the entire community. No one should be afraid of dying at the hands of those who are to protect us -- or at the hands of any individuals who rush towards violence. We are tired of being terrorized. Whether it be at the hands of peace officers or individuals that make up a given community. So we march, seeking a better way.
🎧 This is about money, budgeting funds into the community is a preventative measure so individuals like this dude won’t be created. Providing the same range of activities and opportunities for urban kids as those in more affluent neighborhoods.
🎧 Police officers are not the last line before anarchy. Poverty is because poverty leads to violence.
🎧 We are all the Children of God. The best way to combat anarchy is to fight poverty by creating opportunities for community members and embrace the organizers of those marching, protesting for a more just society.
