Following his graduation from Wharton School, Vernon founded a real estate firm to find and develop sites for McDonald's, founded Commerce Bancorp of Cherry Hill New Jersey, where he was also the Former Chairman, President and CEO before he moved into his more recent roles. He is also the Chairman of Fetch Inc (Petplan North America) and has written the book 'Fans Not Customers: How to Create Growth Companies in a No Growth World'.
