Description

It’s Pride month and nature is gaaaaay! In this episode, Olivia dives into the wonderful world of queer mycology (the study of fungi), how we’re taught to fear what we don’t know, and how mushrooms have fascinated and confounded scientists for thousands of years. Then Elise spotlights the story of queer conservationist Kelly Fuller, who has led powerful actions, challenged establishment norms, and gained wisdom through working with diverse communities all over the United States. Other topics include humongous fungus, what we’re reading, and our favorite examples of queerness in nature.
