Lauren Smith-Fields was found dead after a date with an older man she met on Bumble. Police deemed him a "good guy who didn't need to be investigated." Lauren's family was not notified of her death, a proper investigation was started much too late and they have been fighting for justice since Lauren's death in December of 2021 with very little media coverage.
