Too many times, a business will hire someone based on if that person has a Degree or not. This is NOT a smart strategy as we are seeing more than ever that a Degree can only show you so much about a person. A lot of companies want to skim thru the interviewing and just rely on paperwork like resumes and testing, which leads to hiring whoever looks best on paper when the real key to running a business is knowing what person works best with what people on any given assignment. Knowing the person and not just how much schooling they went thru, is the key to a successful relationship with an employee which leads to a better work culture, which leads to higher morale, which leads to an amazing, well run company filled with teammates instead of coworkers. Don’t rely too heavily on a piece of paper that says someone is smart.
