This is Episode 4 of RelatABLE Thursday! If you heard the announcement at the beginning of the episode click below to book your call!https://calendly.com/brianalmeida/discoverablecallIn this episode I talk about the loss of two people very close to me, and how I dealt with grief in two different ways. Although each passing was different as well, I found peace with both through gratitude. The loss of my grandfather was one of the toughest things I've had to face in the last few years. It was at a time when I was really trying to figure out who I was, and felt that I had missed out on learning from him before he was gone. For a year after his passing I suppressed any emotions I had by diving into trying to start a business and drugs. It wasn't until an eye opening conversation I had with his wife that I realized I was looking at it all wrong, and that if I just started being grateful for the time we did have I could find some peace with it. When I lost my grandmother a couple years later it made it much easier to deal with, of course the situations were different but I was able to accept it with more grace. Each of these people taught me a lot throughout the time I had with them, and those lessons will be with me for the rest of my life. Death and loss of our loved ones is never going to be easy, but by having gratitude we can find a better way through it.If you'd like to read the article I wrote about my grandfather you kind find it on LinkedIn or click below:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/remembering-grateful-better-way-grieving-brian-almeidaFor more information on your host Brian Almeida:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/brian-almeida/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebealmeida/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/brian.almeida.731
