This is Episode 11 of the VulnerABLE Podcast with Scott Berty! In his teenage years his parents would decide to divorce, and not seeing it coming he didn’t quite understand what was going on. At first it made him a bit angry, and his ways of coping with it weren’t exactly the best ways to do so. But he’d quickly realize that with a little communication, and keeping himself busy he would find clarity again. He talked to his parents to understand what happened, and leaned on friends to vent to when he needed it. This began to teach him the importance of relationships and perspective. Coming out of university he wasn’t really sure what direction he was headed in, and would jump around a few different professions. It wasn’t until sometime in 2017 that he realized his current career path didn’t really involve much of himself and who he wanted to be. Taking a chance, he started to put himself out there on social media, mainly LinkedIn at the time, and although it wasn’t comfortable at first he soon realized that something amazing was happening. He began building new relationships, creating a larger network, and in the end it would lead to him landing a career with a startup, doing something he actually enjoyed. To him happiness equals success, and now more than ever he makes sure to keep perspective on life and chase his happiness more than anything else.Currently he’s the Head of Sales for Trufan, an advisor to Quarter 4, and building his personal brand. I’m lucky to call him a close friend, and he’s someone that constantly inspires me.For more information on Scott Berty you can follow him on social media:LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/scottberty/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/scott_berty/Website: https://www.trufan.io/
