I’m today’s podcast I talk about how my divorce didn’t break me, but taught me to live with an open heart.
We must never stop dancing for
the key to our freedoms lies within
our heart’s center. Love is not blind
It’s life’s most precious mentor.
The end of my marriage was a pivotal moment in my life because I had to face all of the things I did not like about myself. Who was the man in the mirror? Why was I doing these things? Who would I become without her? Does divorce make me a failure? This battle went on inside my head for months. Eventually, I grew tired of the fight and made a choice to seek and accept help. It’s important to remember that the pain of loss is inevitable. Your mind is always seeking ways to survive and stay safe. For some of us a break up can send us down dark roads like it did to me, but I believe breakups provide some of the best opportunities for growth.
I am not minimizing the pain you are feeling, what you are feeling is proof that love exists within you and makes you human.
What I am saying is having your heart broken gives you a chance to connect to your heart, it gives you a chance to find yourself. And it gives you a chance to love freely with no expectations or limits.
The idea is that broken hearts allow us work through so we can let go of what we need to, to show up to life as our best selves.
