On episode 22, we attempt to tackle something that runs rampant on social media and the internet in general, conspiracy theories and bad information. We talk about how there is so much information online that it can be overwhelming and hard to know what is true and what is false. We also talk about how we’re more liable to believe and even share information online without even verifying it if it aligns with what we believe or ideas we lean towards (cognitive bias). We remind everyone of the importance of checking all information even about the Gospel so that we know the truth and as 1 Peter 3:15 says “be prepared to give an answer for the hope that is in us”! Lastly, we talk about how even though some conspiracy theories have been proven to be true, we have to be careful especially as believers to not get caught up into being consumed by them to where we become fearful and use them to attack others or hurt our witness among the world. We have to pray for discernment and know that God is in control and as long as we stay close to Him, we will be alright no matter what happens! Also, as always we also play some dope new Christian rap (a few brand new exclusives on this one) to make you nod your head!
