For episode 23, we wanted to make it an East Texas affair. In this special episode, we meet up for an interview with a young man named Covenant Olatunde that’s doing some pretty cool things in Longview. We filmed this one on location at one of the coolest coffee shops in downtown Longview, Silver Grizzly Espresso. Covenant tells us about his childhood of being born in Nigeria to parents who sold their lucrative pharmacies to plant churches in other countries then to coming to Longview for college and being called to study mission aviation. Falling in love with Longview and stepping out to form a collective/band after pursuing leading worship. Very dope interview and we also play some videos from his band COVIE. Pretty much all but one of the songs played are from local East Texas artists in Longview and Tyler and most of the songs are brand new!
