Trail Unedited is honored to present adventure racing legends, Travis and Mark Macy, father and son duo from Team Endure of the Worlds Toughest Race - Eco Challenge, Fiji.

Travis Macy is a professional endurance athlete who has set a record for Leadman, an epic endurance event consisting of a trail running marathon, 50-mile mountain bike race, Leadville 100 Mountain Bike Race, 10k road run, and Leadville 100 Run, all above 10,200' in the Rocky Mountains.

Mark Macy is an adventure racing legend, and one of the world's most prolific adventure racers. He began by running a marathon and that eventually lead to Ironmans, ultra marathons and competing in Eco Challenges. He took part in the first-ever Eco-Challenge series and has taken on eight Eco-Challenges.

In this episode, Travis and Mark Macy talk about how they got started in athletics and how long they been adventure racing. Mark talks about racing with Team Stray Dogs successfully for many years and was supposed to race with them again, Travis talks about his experience been team captain, son and caregiver and the beautiful relationship he has with his dad, and how has life changed since Mark was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s.
