Our Memphis neighbors Jake Scissors and Large Joe Nielsen make the trip to Cape for the weekend, but for once I don’t drink with them on the pod (although that night was a different story, oops). After I broke my foot earlier in the week, I’ve been giving pain meds and blood thinners, so it’s been interesting. These Memphites work full time and hate their lives, but at least they aren’t on crutches, and they come to Cape Girardeau to escape their responsibilities and let loose for a weekend, so God damnit I welcome it. Jake reminds me of a few times I got my ass beat/thrown across the bar, and I guess we’re all going to the Space Hotel in the sky in 10 years. Strap in.
