Description

Have you ever been suspicious that your phone is listening to you, or wonder why EVERY SINGLE website has a popup asking you to agree to accept cookies? It’s all a part of navigating the uncharted territories of how our personal data is being handled online. Our digital footprints exist, yet most of us don’t give it a second thought. But with all of our personal details floating around for anyone to find, how should we be smarter in protecting our identities? And is it this dangerous enough for us to become paranoid of whose hands are on our data? Join us as we sit down with our friend and tech aficionado Josiah Ackerman (whom you might recognise from last week’s panel) and pick his brain about this topic. No question is off limits or even too basic. We’re here to have a conversation about our data privacy in a way that everyone can understand!   Thanks for joining us for another week of our series on the WORLD WIDE WEB! We’re peeling back the layers of the internet and technology to find out what really is happening online, how it affects us and what we can do about it.
