We did it again, another one in the books. This season I covered a wide range of topics-some serious (The I's Have It-Insurrection, Impeachment, and Inauguration) and some fun (Black Listen Listen To K-pop?), but regardless of the topic at hand, I try and remain humble and open. During Black History Month, episodes 4 through 7, I tried to highlight black achievement with some names not heard of-Claudette Colvin, anyone? This season also was the premiere of Black Diamonds, a future YouTube channel in the making with co-diamonds-CeeCee and Kevin. We don't back away from controversial topics, and we don't all agree with the topic at hand, and that's fine, that's how we learn as people. It is however our mission to open up some dialogue amongst like minded individuals in the world who want to make a change.
CeeCee asked me a profound question the other day, "Who am I talking to?" Like I state in my introduction, I love podcasting and do it as a hobby. I don't get paid for this. My reward is having people, regardless of the geography, taking the time to listen and hopefully see these topics with another perspective in mind. We as people at the end of the day are the sum totals of our experiences, and that often times shapes our views, but your own view doesn't equate as the only one. If we share ourselves with each other honesty, then maybe we can tackle some of society ills that plague us as a human race. That is what I will be contemplating one as I take a break from my podcast. I want to finetune The Conversation Peace.
Who am I talking to? I am on a journey, and I want to take you along, so bare with me and wish me luck. Inshallah, I will be back and share with you soon. As-Salaam Alaikum (Peace be with you).
