Description

In this Slice of P*I*, we discuss the emergence of "community pantries" as a novel and remarkable expression of citizenship. While everyone praises and celebrates them, we ask questions like why are they sustainable? Why are they political? Why do they work and why are they important? We highlight the importance of "tiwala"/Trust and "hiya"/Propriety in the operations and expansion of these pantries.
