So I don’t’ know about you but when I decided to start a business. I thought I could do it on my own. I was like, I got this! Plus, no one else REALLY knows how to do MY business.
Oh yeah and there was that thinking that if I told anyone about it or even if I asked for help, now someone else would know and STEAL my idea. Come on, I know I am not alone. Raise your hand if you’ve had those thoughts. No shame here.
Guess what I realized after bout two years and not growing my business as I thought it would. Successful people collaborate with others. Many even form partnerships and they are being successful. So where was the lone ranger…lone wolf mentality getting me…
Right between failure and giving up. It wasn’t a good feeling at all!
So I got to thinking about the successes that I had experience in my life. Like my career as a school psychologist and finishing my doctorate in organizational psychology. How did I get those?
Funny thing, as I was thinking about my how, I started thinking of all the who’s. I sound a little Dr. Suess-ish …lol! But seriously, the who’s were important. Why? Coz they were my mentors.
I am so fortunate for the mentors that I have had and continue to have on my journey.
