Reno Reda was a graduate of Cole's alma mater, Watkins Memorial High School. After high school, Reno went on to play at the division 1 level for Kent State. During his time at Kent State he competed against big time school such as LSU, Penn State, and even Ohio State. Despite playing defensive end, tight end, kicker and punter in high school, he was an offensive lineman for the Golden Flashes. Reno was the first recipient of the #54 jersey to honor fallen teammate, Jason Bitsko, after he tragically passed away.
