Description

Please, meet my new obsession, Miri and the art of Kintsugi. After 25 years as a marketer with expertise in Ethics and Compliance, Miriam Grunhaus, a native of Brazil, entered the world of Fashion Design (www.mikahfashion.com). Miriam’s commitment is to the women she serves. After learning about Kintsugi and being empowered by its message, Miriam decided that her brand will be a source of hope and friendship to women. In Japanese culture, pottery that breaks is not trashed, rather it is repaired with lacquer and gold or silver. The end result is more beautiful, valuable, and stronger than the original. The message is that broken is not a reason to be discarded; but rather an opportunity to improve. A message that through the process of mending, we become even more beautiful, valuable, and unique than before. The art is called Kintsugi. Miriam authored the book Heal with Gold (bit.ly/HealwithGold) Inspired by interviews Miriam has conducted with women who have gone through adversity but healed and found joy, Miriam is launching the Heal with Gold course in 2021. The course guides women through a healing journey inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi.
