After the 2020 election, Nancy Purcell and I decided that this episode needed to air today, just before the inauguration, to serve as a reminder of the need to start listening to one another. Neither of us could have ever predicted the event that just occurred, making this conversation and Nancy's mission to support bipartisan cooperation a much needed one.
Nancy Purcell is a retired English teacher, author, yoga student, and a very concerned citizen of the United States and the planet. She is also a mother of three grown children and a grandmother of two. Reading that, you may think she's ready for a rocking chair, but that's definitely not her. She recently published, Stop Twisting the Knife: A Novel Approach to Addiction Recovery, and now she feels compelled to let the members of Congress know how crucial it is for them to stop their bickering and work together for the well-being of the nation they have been elected to serve.
