Episode 55 of Inside Warhawk Athletics Presented by Educators Credit Union includes a conversation with John Vodenlich, who is in his 17th season as head baseball coach at UW-Whitewater. During Vodenlich’s 17 seasons as head coach, the Warhawks have won 12 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championships, qualified for the NCAA Championships 14 times and appeared in the NCAA Division III College World Series six times, including winning the 2014 and 2005 NCAA Division III National Championships.
The Warhawks head into the final weekend of the regular season with a 31-5 record, including a 22-4 mark in the WIAC, which is tied for first in the conference standings. UW-W, which is second in the latest NCAA Midwest Regional Ranking and third in the most recent D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25, hosts UW-Eau Claire Saturday before wrapping up the regular season with non-conference games at UW-Oshkosh on Sunday.
