After football, Mohammed Usman took interest in mixed martial arts (MMA) when his older brother, current UFC Welterweight Champion, Kamaru Usman, started having initial success with the sport. Mohammed Usman would transfer the work ethic, intensity and drive he had for football to MMA. The result? An MMA athlete on the rise. With a 6-1-0 MMA pro record, Mohammed Usman blazed through the heavyweight ranks of Titan FC, a fighting organization that broadcasts their events on UFC Fight Pass. That is, until he recently signed with the Professional Fighter’s League (PFL). The PFL is a bit different from other fighting organizations in that they have a yearly season where 12 fighters, in each weight class, contend (numerous times) throughout the year for the annual championship.
