Joey Reis is a Fairbury, IL native.
Joey has become something of a household name in the Prairie Central area, Illinois area, for his dominant 3-0 streak in MMA, or what many people know as cage fighting.
Interestingly enough, Joey has had more fights get lined up and then canceled than he's actually fought in. That can sometimes be the way it goes when you have an explosive start to your fighting career- no one wants to be the next person on your highlight real.
Joey finished his first 3 fights each in the first round by either knockout or technical knockout. It was just a few weeks ago that he suffered his first loss after taking a title-fight on a little over a week's notice at a weight class more than 10 pounds below what he then weighed! Something Joey preaches is to always be ready and take opportunities.
