We talk so much about the importance of believing in God, that God is good, that God loves us, that God really likes us and wants to be with us and these are important and beautiful truths to wrestle with and hold dear. But what if the converse is also true. What if God believes in us, even more so than we believe in him. What if we are God’s dream for his world and his image on the earth he loves? What if God is waiting for us to become truly human, fully human? What if the ultimate hope of our existence is not found in what we want, wish for and wait for, but that we are wanted and wished for and waited for by God?
