In 2004 as “Lean Back” hit the charts and he famously licked the bottom of his Olympic Air Jordan 7 on an episode of MTV Cribs, Fat Joe forever cemented his impression in hip hop and sneaker culture iconography. Since then he’s had a slew of hit records, nominated for and won many awards, advocated Washington DC for patient transparency in health care, hosted awards shows, written a best selling book, performed all over the world, hosts his own talk show, given back to his community thousands of times over and most importantly remains a friend to all who have ever touched his life.
We recently met up with Fat Joe and the Terror Squad crew along with former Bronx borough President Rubén Díaz Jr. at UP NYC in the Bronx to help feed the community for the holidays. This annual event feeds hundreds of families every year with the help of Shop Rite and Krasdale Foods. Special thanks to Rich the Player for making this special conversation happen
