Luke Smith's destiny was to play college baseball. He worked for it, his parents sacrificed for it and the scholarship was awarded. His life and identity were wrapped up in the game. When an injury ended his career, Luke felt lost and betrayed by God and went off the rails. Through the love and encouragement of a former coach, years of doing the difficult inner work, and being faithful to a men's group which offers tough love, accountability and grace, he has found new life as a husband, father and mentor to young men. Luke and his wife Holly were high school sweethearts and have weathered many storms together. They have 5 children and are teaching them the love of Christ, and that true success is found in living a life of love and service to others.
