Description

Imitation is the most acceptable form of worship, as the proverb suggests. Although this notion has been around since the early 19th century, similar ideas existed even before that. One of the earliest examples of this concept dates back to 1708: “Consider that imitation is the most acceptable aspect of worship, and that God would rather mankind resemble Him than flatter Him.”

Scripture references include Psalm 96:1-13 and 1 Thessalonians 1:1-10.
