On this episode I speak with Remedy Moore, a sex-positive mom navigating polyamory, burlesque, and parenthood. Have you ever felt fragmented, like you live separate lives? Imagine being a burlesque performer with a day job while trying to navigate your sexuality and be a good parent.
Remedy Moore has embraced ethical sluthood since high school, realizing early on that monogamy wasn’t going to cut it for her. Since, she’s explored her sexuality, kinks, and tried various kinds of relationships, before becoming a mother. How does a pansexual, polyamorous, burlesquing mother keep all her identities together? Well, for Remedy it was a matter of simplifying. She decided to transition from polyamorous relationships to a more cohesive monogamish partnership, to focus her energies on herself and her burlesque performances, and to raise a healthy sex-positive child. As a mother, she faces constant challenges and has found some support in the sex-positive communities. Remedy hopes to remove the stigma that a mother cannot be sexy and that a child ought to be sheltered from understanding sexuality.
