Episode 13 of our book read/podcast covering every chapter in an open source textbook to act as a free supplement to social psychology topics and concepts. In this episode we are jumping to chapter 10 to discuss GROUP PROCESSES and identity in cults with special guest Jordan Jones. We posit questions such as what is a cult? What are the characteristics of a cult? Are you in a cult? Is the university alumni association a cult? Ok, we can probably say that the last question is a No, but how can you tell? In the end we discuss the BITE model and end up asking the question “Were our former retail jobs cults?”
